Arnica in this ointment promotes the healing of wounds, bruises, and irritation. It reduces pain and swelling and works on bruised muscles, and arthritic joints. Comfrey is an excellent wound-healer that stimulates cell growth and guards against scar tissue developing incorrectly. My mother swears by it!
